What is a Wood Light Bulb/Lamp?
Wood light lamp is a special lamp that produces ultraviolet light at a wavelength of 365 nm.
This light stimulates the fluorescence of certain substances, making them visible to the naked eye.

Wood light lamp is used in dermatology to diagnose various diseases.
The most common uses of this lamp are:
Fungal infections (tinea) : Fungal infections such as tinea pedis (athlete's foot), tinea corporis (body fungus) and tinea capitis (hair fungus) glow yellow-green under Wood's light.
Bacterial infections : Some bacteria, such as Pseudomonas aeruginosa, glow blue-green under Wood's light.
Pigment disorders : Pigment disorders such as vitiligo (loss of skin color) and melasma (brown spots on the skin) become more prominent under Wood light.
Porphyria : Porphyria is a disease that causes a defect in the production of heme pigment. Under Wood light, red coloration can be seen in urine and feces.
Some types of cancer : Some skin cancers may appear a different color under Wood's light.
